Tattoo Studio in Imatra
Hello!
I'm Svetlana Zagvozkina, an artist based in Finland.
I specialize in lineart tattooing, blending aesthetic appeal with deep meaning in my work.
Drawing inspiration from historical motifs, petroglyphs, Karelian ornaments, and nature, I see each tattoo as a wearable piece of history that connects us to our roots and heritage.
As an architect and artist, I have a deep respect for history – whether on canvas or skin.
Welcome to my studio in Imatra!
Cube Stamp Artwork
I create interior paintings, employing the traditional cube stamp printing technique.
This method was traditionally used in northern regions for making ornate textiles and costume fabrics, and now it takes on a new form in my studio.
Wooden pattern stamps touch the paper, crafting captivating ink abstractions. The stamps themselves are static, but the ink and the approach infuse the artwork with vitality and motion.
In my artistic process, I steer clear of synthetic materials, acrylics, and plastics. My tools are simple yet refined: hand-crafted wooden stamps, acid-free paper, and pigments of natural origin.
Artworks are available for purchase through my online store, offering complimentary shipping across the European Union.
Twenty years as a restoration architect have grounded my approach, giving it a solid foundation and a touch of history.
This experience lets me carefully blend structure with creativity, ensuring each piece is both well-crafted and true to its roots.
In my artworks, I draw inspiration in the cultural legacy of northern regions and natural motifs.
